Direct to Film (DTF / DTG)
One of the latest and most state of the art garment printing technologies on the market. A process that transfers prints onto fabric or other substrates using a heat-press mechanism creating high-quality prints that last for years to come with no added fees for additional colors in your design. This method can be applied on a wide range of materials including, cotton, nylon, treated leather, polyester, 50/50 blends and more.
Screen Printing
The age-old Chinese tradition of transferring ink directly to fabric. This produces vibrant color and can be used to print on virtually any surface. This is best for larger orders – the higher quantity ordered, the better the pricing.
Sublimation
Process which uses heat-sensitive dyes to print graphics onto special transfer paper. Akin to DTF in that a heat-press is used to apply the transfer paper to fabric, however limited in that it can only be applied to polyester, polymer or polymer-coated items. This is best used for team uniforms and small batches.
Embroidery
A method used for decorating fabrics with a needle and a thread, creating a raised pattern sewn directly into the garment of choice. Some of our most popular embroidered products are uniformed polo shirts, scrubs, jackets and hats.
Sublimation vs DTF vs DTG Printing
A quick comparison of the three most popular printing methods used in apparel decoration. Each offers unique strengths depending on the material, finish, and application.
Summary: Sublimation is best for polyester and promo products, DTF is the most versatile across fabrics and colors, and DTG excels on cotton apparel where softness and detail matter.
